WOW!!! Another hugely successful camp this year. We had over 125 participants as well as a great youth tournament which boasted about 50 participants. We will have photos up as soon as possible. A huge thanks to all of our special guests and those who traveled from many wonderful states and countires around the world to share their time with us. We are grateful to them all and hope that they will return next year for more fun and training. We have begun plans for next years event and we are already planning so as soon as the info is available we will get it out to each and everyone of you. Hopefully, we will get a survey out to you this year that will ask for your opinions so we can try to make next years camp even more successful. Once again we hope you all had a great time, and see you next year.

Dear Shotokan Karate-ka:

Greetings and best wishes to all! After a hugely successful 2008 International Training camp, we are very pleased to invite you to take part in our 4th annual training camp and kata bunkai symposium, held right outside Atlantic City, NJ once again at the Seaview Mariott from March 26th through 29th 2009. Plan on a long weekend filled with tremendous training. Please be sure to bring a spouse as this is a world class resort. Our 2008 camp had well over 125 participants during both days of trainings and lectures. Please try to book as soon as possible so you can make travel arrangements well in advance. This outstanding training opportunity will take place near Atlantic City, in Southern New Jersey, and is open to all beginner, intermediate, and advanced Shotokan karate practitioners - truly without regard for political and organizational affiliation. We are uniting Shotokan practitioners one at a time!!!!

Featured instruction for this year's IUKO camp will be led by world class instructors Salvatore Lopresti Sr., 7th Dan, Ron Romano, 7th Dan, Paul Lopresti 5th Dan, Thomas Casale, 6th Dan, and Paul Allan, 7th Dan. Confirmed guest instructors will be Richard Gould, 9th Dan of ASKF and Tom Frobel, 7th Dan of ASI. This year's camp will be full of tremendous physical training as well as some thought provoking knowledge. Once again we will have a combination of lectures and trainings as well as instructor classes. This could very well again be the largest Masters Seminars anywhere in North America.

There will be seperate youth training classes. These classes will cover the full range of topics including once again kata and kumite competition based classes as well as classes on traditional Okinawan weapons, and a new class on MMA for dojos. Featured will be the largest symposium on kata bunkai with methods you can be sure that you have not seen before. We will host the 2009 IUKO Junior National Championships at camp. Please email us about a parent rate for thse that want to attend with their children. Any adult that is interested in a non-training spouse that would like to attend, please email us for rates. This year we will also be holding some yoga classes for any non-training camp participants. This will be done so those staying with you can enjoy their stay and get a great workout too.

To conclude, let us say that we are very happy to see how previous camps have developed some lasting friendships and we hope that this year we can make some new friends.
